- England have won each of the last four men's Ashes series to take place on home soil, the last time Australia managed to lift the urn on the road was back in 2001; England have not gone on to win the Ashes after losing the series opener since 2005.

- Chris Woakes has taken 24 Test wickets at an average of just 9.8 at Lord's, the third-best rate of any seamer at a single venue (20+ dismissals); he’s also the only England batsman (3+ knocks) to average 40+ in home men's Tests since the start 2018 (42.2 - eight innings).
