  • 19.6

Nathan Coulter-Nile to Hasan Ali. Yorker, middle stump backing away driving, to mid off for 1 run, fielded by Finch.

Phew, take a breath. That was hectic T20 cricket from start to finish. Pakistan came flying out of the blocks courtesy of a fantastic partnership between Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez, but Australia fought back admirably once they were separated. A little flourish in the final over from Hasan Ali means things are tantalisingly poised at the half-way point in this contest.

  • 19.5

Nathan Coulter-Nile to Babar Azam. Yorker, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, to backward point for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

  • 19.3

FOUR! Nathan Coulter-Nile to Hasan Ali. Full toss, off stump on the front foot driving, in the air uncontrolled past long on for 4 runs, dropped catch by Short. Tough chance and Short can't even get a hand on it. Hasan didn't quite get hold of the full toss but the fielder has to worry about the position of the rope making it a difficult one. More useful runs for the men in green.

  • 19.2

SIX! Nathan Coulter-Nile to Hasan Ali. Back of a length, outside off stump backing away pulling, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. Nothing unfortunate about this one, just pure power from Hasan Ali. This is a useful little flurry for Pakistan right at the death.

  • 19.1

FOUR! Nathan Coulter-Nile to Hasan Ali. Yorker, outside off stump backing away driving, inside edge past fine leg for 4 runs. That's really unfortunate for the bowler. Coulter-Nile nails his yorker but somehow it gets jammed out to fine leg.

  • 18.6

Andrew Tye to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot working, to long on for 2 runs, fielded by Maxwell.

  • 18.5

Andrew Tye to Hasan Ali. Slower length ball, off stump on the front foot working, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to mid on for 1 run, fielded by Coulter-Nile.

  • 18.4

Andrew Tye to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump moves in front working, leading edge to deep point for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

  • 18.3

Andrew Tye to Hasan Ali. Slower length ball, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, to point for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

  • 18.2

APPEAL! Verified by umpire after REFERRAL. Andrew Tye to Hasan Ali. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot glancing, hit pad to wicketkeeper for no runs, by Carey, appeal made for Caught. That's a very optimistic appeal and an even more optimistic review. Just a brush of pad on that down the legside, good call by the umpire in the first instance.

  • 18.1

OUT! Caught. Andrew Tye to Imad Wasim. Slower ball half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to extra cover, by Finch. What is happening out there? This is getting ridiculous. Imad wants to crash his first delivery through extra cover but he's through the shot too early as Tye deceives him with lack of pace. Finch says thank you very much to take the catch and leave Pakistan eight down.

  • 17.6

Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Carey.

  • 17.5

OUT! Caught. Billy Stanlake to Shadab Khan. Short, outside off stump on the back foot hooking, top edge in the air uncontrolled to fine leg, by McDermott. Another skier, Pakistan can't handle Stanlake's fire. Shadab flails wildly at this bumper, never in control and there can only be one outcome. McDermott settles under his second catch of the evening. Babar is left dumbfounded at the other end.

  • 17.4

Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Late Cut, to third man for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

  • 17.3

Billy Stanlake to Shadab Khan. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, to third man for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

  • 17.2

OUT! L.B.W. Verified by umpire after REFERRAL. Billy Stanlake to Sarfraz Ahmed. Length ball, outside off stump on the back foot working, hit pad to. Prolonged appeal and eventually the finger goes up, Pakistan are falling in a heap here. Sarfraz asks for the review but it won't save him, ball tracking says it would've just clipped the top of the bails. This is an outstanding fightback by the Aussies.

  • 17.1

Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

  • 16.6

Andrew Tye to Sarfraz Ahmed. Slower ball yorker, off stump on the front foot defending, to leg slip for no runs, fielded by Carey.

  • 16.5
    നതാൻ കോർട്ർ നീൽ b Shadab Khan 34 (29)

OUT! Caught. Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, in the air uncontrolled to extra cover, by Maxwell. Sweetly struck but straight to the one man on the field you don't want to find. A couple of metres either side and that would've flown to the fence, but if it's within Maxwell's grasp he's always going to catch it. All of a sudden Tye is on a hat-trick.

  • 16.4

OUT! Caught. Andrew Tye to Hussain Talat. Slower length ball, middle stump down the track driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Finch. Beautifully held by the skipper, clutched with both hands above his head as he jumped right on the edge of the rope. Australia keep chipping away but Babar Azam remains firm at the other end.

  • 16.3

Andrew Tye to Hussain Talat. Back of a length, to leg on the back foot working, to mid wicket for 2 runs, fielded by Short.

  • 16.2

  • 15.1

SIX! Nathan Coulter-Nile to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump moves in front flick, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Boom, that has been clobbered into the stands by Babar. It was in the slot and violently dispatched.

  • അവസാന Over 15
Over 15. 6 runs. Bowler: Shaheen Afridi. Australia: 78/9 (rr 5.20)
  • 14.6

FOUR! Adam Zampa to Hussain Talat. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, past long on for 4 runs, mis-fielded by Short. That's really sloppy work in the deep, Australia haven't been at their best in the field tonight. Short seemed to take his eyes off the ball at the crucial moment there.

  • 16.5
    നതാൻ കോർട്ർ നീൽ b Shadab Khan 34 (29)

OUT! Bowled. Shadab Khan to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Googly length ball, off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, missed to.

Pakistan have demolished Australia in Abu Dhabi to take a 1-0 lead in the T20I series. Their total of 155/8 was set up by Babar Azam's classy unbeaten 68, with the right-hander carrying his bat through the innings to hold things together. Australia weren't at their best in the field with fumbles and dropped catches littered throughout the innings, but they fought back admirably towards the death. Despite an alarming collapse from 105/1 to 133/8, a late cameo by Hasan Ali lifted the men in green to a competitive looking score. That momentum carried into the field with the result pretty much sealed by the end of the powerplay. Aaron Finch's men sunk to 22/6 as Imad Wasim (3/20) and Faheem Ashraf (2/10) ran amok through the top order. Nathan Coulter-Nile did his best to delay the inevitable, but the batting effort by Australia was fittingly summed up when his bat went flying out of his hands as the stumps were shattered for the final wicket. Let's see if the visitors can bounce back in the 2nd T20I on Friday night.

    ആൻഡ്രൂ ടൈ b Shaheen Afridi 6 (3)

OUT! Bowled. Shaheen Afridi to Andrew Tye. Length ball, outside off stump on the back foot defending, missed to. Through him with sheer pace, middle stump is flattened. The end is nigh now with Australia nine down. Shaheen punches the air in celebration, he knows victory isn't too far away.

  • 14.5

FOUR! Shaheen Afridi to Andrew Tye. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed past long off for 4 runs, mis-fielded by Ashraf. A rare blemish in this terrific Pakistan performance as Faheem dives over the top of one at mid off.

OUT! Caught. Shaheen Afridi to Adam Zampa. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Ali. Misjudged by the fielder in the deep but he still manages to cling onto it. Hasan Ali charged in initially but then had to backtrack, in the end it's a fantastic effort to complete the catch just inside the rope. Zampa was looking for an adventurous swipe but got more height than distance on it.

  • 14.2

  • 13.5

FOUR! Shadab Khan to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Quicker length ball, outside off stump on the back foot Late Cut, well timed past third man for 4 runs. Shadab fires one in but Coulter-Nile is quickly in position to chop a delicate dab between two fielders.

OUT! Caught. Hasan Ali to Ashton Agar. Off cutter back of a length, down leg side backing away driving, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Ahmed. Hasan Ali joins the party for Pakistan, he has his first wicket of the night as Agar can only feather one behind. APPEAL! OUT changed by umpire to NOT OUT after REFERRAL. Hasan Ali to Ashton Agar. Back of a length, down leg side on the front foot flick, hit pad to wicketkeeper for no runs, by Ahmed, appeal made for Caught. The finger is up but Agar reviews immediately. It was an ambitious stroke by the left-hander, looking to whip over the top as Hasan Ali starts a new spell. Replays show it just brushed the leg and not the bat, so technology comes to Agar's rescue.
