The first day/night Test for these two countries has finished in a little over two days as India have demolished Bangladesh by a huge margin at Eden Gardens. Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami were all fantastic for the hosts. They found pace and movement with the pink ball causing the touring batsmen to look clueless at times. Only Mushfiqur Rahim offered any sort of resistance, his swashbuckling 74 in the second innings a lone beacon of hope for the visitors. Virat Kohli notched up his 27th Test century yesterday and that gave his team enough of a lead to complete an innings win for the fourth consecutive Test, an impressive record.
So India win the series 2-0 after two comprehensive performances. They will be delighted that their fast bowling trio have been so threatening throughout. Bangladesh have really missed the experience of Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan but the rest of the team will hopefully learn plenty from this tour.
