Hailing from the town of Baithak Balouch in Pallandri, his rise is a story of raw ability finding its way through sheer determination. Originally a tape-ball cricketer, he relocated to Rawalpindi to play proper club cricket under the Sabih Azhar Cricket Academy, quickly translating his wrist-spin variations into first-class and international-grade performances.

Moqim first gained widespread recognition on the pathway circuit in July 2023, where his crucial spell of 3 for 66 in the final of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup helped Pakistan A defeat India A to lift the title. He made his senior international debut shortly after in October 2023 against Hong Kong at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. His international career reached a remarkable high in December 2024 during a T20I series against Zimbabwe, where he delivered a record-equalling spell, taking 5 wickets for just 3 runs.
